ABOUT BENSLYS CRAFTS

Hi my name is Fiona and I design and create personalised handmade gifts for all occasions.

It all started in 2004 when a friend asked me to make her a Family Ties, then someone else wanted one and so it began! Soon I was taking lots of orders. More products followed on and as the saying goes the rest is history and Bensly's Crafts was born.

I've been selling at craft fairs for the past 15 years. A few years ago I noticed several customers asking if I had a website so thought about it and eventually I took the plunge and set one up. 

My plaques are made out of 12mm and 5mm MDF. They come In all shapes and sizes and are cut out by my husband Rob. I painstakingly sand, paint 2-3 coats, varnish, drill, personalise, string, sell, wrap, and post. James my eldest helps me run the business. 

Buzz and Woody are great company when I'm in my shed crafting. 
Daisy my cat is just very nosy and likes getting in on the action or in the way. 

All of my plaques can be adapted to my customers requirements and most are painted on both sides so a personal message can be written on the back. 

I’ve learnt over the years there are too many different connotations so Grandma can be Nana, Gran, Nanny etc which is why I take lots of blanks to my shows!!
